Audio Visual Material

The Center houses a large collection of oral testimony with over 200 NJ Holocaust survivors and liberators.  Some of these interviews are now part of the Kean University Library Digital Repository.  The remainder may be viewed at the Center. We also have numerous additional films, documentaries and programs on video.

Oral History

The oral history program began in 1982 as a critical component of the HRC. The HRC has amassed thousands of hours of testimony of survivors and liberators. The collection now holds approximately 215 oral testimonies. The University’s oral history project is associated with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington. D.C. and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.  The book Holocaust Testimonies  has compiled and summarized these testimonies.  The book is  available in the HRC to borrow.
